our journey

Woodlands Joinery was established in 2012. I started Woodlands Joinery on my own, working from a garage at home after working in Wellington for fifteen years for two other joinery companies. Realising my garage was too small, I moved to an industrial area in Upper Hutt where Woodlands is based to this day.

In September 2013 we employed Shane, who is still with us, along with utilising other contract joiners for those projects that require it.

Both Shane and myself hold the National Certificate as a Joinery Craftsperson, achieved through NZQA and JITO. Together we have thirty three years combined (Shane fourteen years, and myself nineteen years) experience in manufacturing quality joinery in the greater Wellington area.

Most of our projects are architecturally designed, bespoke one-off items ranging from kitchens, bookshelves, wall / entertainment units, interior doors, exterior doors and windows (including bi-folding, French and single doors and windows), stairs and balustrading, we also make one-off items of furniture.

We provide advise and basic design for clients who choose not to utilise an architect to achieve there joinery requirements, whether it be cabinetry or joinery.

Woodlands Joinery offers a free measure and quote service and we pride ourselves on value with no exception or compromise. We like to think we make the process and experience of any project to be as enjoyable as possible. Woodlands Joinery can proudly state that our clients are always totally satisfied with the Woodlands service and experience.
